Zack Snyder Says Superman Needs To Be A Little Further Down His Road Before Justice League

by

SnyderCavillWith the Man Of Steel junket going on, sequels and Justice League are sure to be some main topics of conversation. Earlier we posted a story about Henry Cavill stating that he would love the opportunity to bring Superman to the big screen again in a Justice League movie. Not so fast says director Zack Snyder, who has rumored to be WB’s choice to direct DC’s superhero team up film. Collider sat down with Snyder, where they had this little exchange:

If they did offer you Justice League, and they offered you a Superman sequel, which is the one that gets your attention?

Snyder: Look … completely hypothetically, I feel like you need … to get Superman a little further down the road, I think, before you can do a Justice League movie.

They’ve talked about Justice League for 2015 and that seems a little soon for me.

Snyder: Yeah, I don’t know who “they” are.

That’s what the studio was talking about. [Laughs] So, I guess you’re saying that you could see yourself doing a Superman sequel and then perhaps…

Snyder: I don’t know.  All I’m saying is that you’ve got to get Superman further down the road.

So once again it looks as if we will have to wait to see exactly what the plan is for Justice League. Seems like for every quote we get that might suggest the movie is close, we get another that says we still a few years out. Regardless, no one is denying that fact that there is a possibility of a Justice League. For the latest on the possible Justice League movie, make sure to check back here at Comic Book Therapy.
