Yet Another Vehicle Revealed for Transformers 4

by

As we move ever closer to the beginning of production for Michael Bay’s fourth go-round in the Tranformers franchise, the explosive director has slowly be releasing images of some of the vehicles that will be used in the film. So far, we know that the two main players, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee have received significant redesigns and Autobot Hound will be making his first appearance in the films. There are also a few vehicles that don’t have robots associated to them, including a C7 Corvette Stingray and a $2.4 million Bugatti.

Tonight, Bay has revealed yet another car that will be featured in Transformers 4, and like the other listed above, price tags seem to be of no concern, as a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Coupe  will be joining the ranks. Like the Bugatti and the Stingray, we don’t know which robot the Lambo will represent but it brings up an interesting topic. In comics, toons and toys, Sideswipe, who has already been featured in two films as a Corvette Stingray concept, was usually a Lamborghini. With both a Stingray and a Lambo showing up, it’s possible that Sideswipe could be showing up once again either as a reworked Stingray or return to his roots as a Lamborghini. It’s also possible that I am talking about my butt and both will be entirely new robots. Time will tell on this one.

Filming begins on Transformers 4 later this summer and will release next June, with Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Kelsey Grammer, TJ Miller and Stanley Tucci all starring. Look for some pivotal scenes to take place in China as well as the usual American setting, including the Four Corners area.
