With The Announcement Of The Flash TV Show, Warner Brothers Still Planning A Movie For The Scarlet Speedster
It’s a good time to be a Flash fan! After the big announcement today that The CW network will be developing a Flash TV series, new word has just dropped that Warner Brothers will indeed still be looking to develop a movie for the character as well.
The report comes from the fine people at The Hollywood Reporter who say that the Flash movie is still very much in development and is being targeted for a 2016 release date. A lot of the same creative team from the TV show will be making their way onto the movie as well. However, it is unknown at this time whether or not it will be a movie for the TV character.
Greg Berlanti is on board to direct the film. He will also work on the script with Chris Brancato, Michael Green, Geoff Johns and Marc Guggenheim. There is also some concern that the TV show and the film will confuse people. Although CW president Mark Pedowitz says that they along with Warner Brothers are not worried about it.
