Will Dr. Doom Get Some Robotic Help In The FANTASTIC FOUR Reboot?
Much to some fans’ chagrin, it appears that Fox and director Josh Trank‘s Fantastic Four reboot is going along full steam ahead despite reports that the entire thing was being scrapped. Just the other day we learned that Toby Kebbell had all but officially landed the role of Victor von Doom, but today there is a rather interesting report about some robotic help the not-so-good doctor may have when it comes to fighting the new Fantastic Four.
In the latest edition of the Nerdist News YouTube video series, the site claims to have secured an exclusive bit of news about the much-discussed reboot. According to host Jessica Chobot, Dr. Doom will be using Doombots. She says “Doombots will definitely be in the film, in the form of drones that the good doctor controls telekinetically.” Doombots are of course robot versions of Doctor Doom that the real deal uses to fight and trick his adversaries whenever the need arises. There have been numerous iterations and versions of Doombots in the comics, so there is a lot of material Trank and company could pull from to form their movie version. The Fantastic Four reboot will begin filming soon and stars Miles Teller as Reed Richards, Kate Mara as Sue Storm, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm, and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm. What do you think about Doombots possibly being involved in the reboot?
