Will Agent Coulson Appear In The Comics?

As more and more changes happen in the Marvel comic books to adapt them to what you watch in the movies, a regular of Marvel movies has not yet made the transition to comic books. Agent Coulson, Clark Gregg‘s character who is in Iron Man 1 and 2, Thor and the coming The Avengers, has no equivalent in the comics.
According to Newsarama, this should not happen anytime soon. Marvel has published a comic book starring the digital agent, who was on the continuity of the films, but refused to answer as to its possible introduction in the traditional Marvel Universe.
Coulson will have an important role in the animated Ultimate Spider-Man, which premieres on Disney XD channel in April – with the very voice of Clark Gregg. He is the director of the college in which Peter Parker studies (as undercover agent of SHIELD to keep an eye on the spider, of course). Jeph Loeb, who is responsible for every part of the Marvel TV, says that this does not mean that we will see an intersection of the universes of Marvel’s TV and film – but they both try to respect what is in the comics.
In live-action version, the agent also starred in short films part of the Blu-rays of Captain America and Thor. The time now is to wait for his participation in the Avengers movie.
