Who is Boo Boo Stewart Playing in Days of Future Past? How About Forge?
We just barely dropped some news that Daniel Cudmore will be reprising his role of Colossus in Brian Singers upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past film. Previously, we’ve seen Singer drop casting news via his twitter account and this was no different, but this go-round, he used a picture of the cast members to release the news. In this image, there are two other cast members that are not mentioned and we can now say that they are Boo Boo Stewart of Twilight fame and Fan Bing Bing, who is credited for having a role in Marvel’s Iron Man 3, which opens in May.
We’ve yet to hear who Stewart will be playing in the film, but I think I may have an idea. With the story of the film dealing quite heavily with time travel, which requires a great bit of technology, (duh), could we see Forge finally making an appearance in the X-Men film-verse? Forge of course is extremely knowledgable when it comes to technology, a second nature that is as effortless as walking and talking for him. Forge is also of Native American descent, specifically Cheyenne, this would fall in line with Stewart’s lineage as well, as he to has Native American blood and his character in Twilight was also Native.
As it stands now, we’ll have to wait until Brian Singer or Boo Boo Stewart confirm what character he is playing, but to me, I think we’ll be seeing Forge in the film. It would be a great addition to the cast and to the plot. With Nicolas Hoult returning as Beast (we’d love to see Kelsey Grammer back as well, Mr. Singer), we’d have to of the brightest X-Men working together. Here’s to hoping, right?
X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled to begin filming in the coming months and will see Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and now Daniel Cudmore reprising their roles, with Peter Dinklage, Boo Boo Stewart and Ban Fing Fing joining the cast. I suspect we’ll see about 6 more cast members join in the future as well, judging by the image that Singer tweeted.
