Interview with Walter Koenig: His Graphic Novel and Star Trek

Walter Koenig is probably best known for his role in the original Star Trek series and films, but fans may not realize that the actor is also a budding graphic novelist. Things To Come, his most recent turn at writing, was intended to be a graphic novel, but was split into four standalone issues for its first run. His look at vampires, the last sentient beings on Earth, will be released later as a graphic novel. Koenig, while famous on Star Trek as Pavel Chekov, is also a fan-favorite as Alfred Bester on Babylon 5.

The sci-fi legend was a guest of honor at the 20th annual Spock Days event held in Vulcan, Alberta, Canada this past June, where he talked about his life on television as well as his entrance into the comic book world. Koenig’s next appearance will be in Winnipeg at the Central Canada Comic Con Nov. 2-4, 2012.
