twd-s4-first-look-590This isn’t a surprise, but lot of people like The Walking Dead. The show has bridged the gap between hardcore comic book enthusiast and general audiences, and it has paid off big time for AMC.

The stakes were high during seasons three’s finale, and while some deemed it disappointing, a whopping 12.4 million viewers tuned in to see how Rick would deal with The Governor. That’s a lot of viewers right? Well apparently not as many as it could be! Last night the show premiered, and not only beat season three’s finale, but blew it out of the water. A total of 16.1 million viewers tuned on the show to see what happened in the season four premiere, according to AMC.

While the show was a little mild by premiere and finales go, it seems that people are still interested in Rick and his group of survivors. I did a recap and review for last night’s episode, so make sure to check that out. For the latest on The Walking Dead, make sure to check back here at Comic Book Therapy.
