The Walking Dead Casts Rosita Espinosa
The Walking Dead is set to return next month, and fans can not wait to see what the show runners have in store for the survivors this season. Other than some promo shots, and trailers news has been pretty quiet for the show. That was until today when AMC announced it was going to start another show based on the series that will follow a different set of survivors.
Pushed under the rug of all that excitement is the fact that the main show has cast another character from the comic. The character of Rosita Espinosa, who first appeared in issue #53, will be joining the show. Actress Christian Serratos, most famous for the Twilight series, will be bringing her to life.
Rosita’s background before the zombie apocalypse is a bit of a mystery, although she relied on her looks (by offering pleasure to men) for protection against the zombies. That was until she met up with Eugene and especially Abraham who didn’t want anything in return for protecting her. It is after she meets up with those two that she encounters Rick and his group of survivors at Hershel’s Farm. Obviously there will be a little bit of a stay from the comics as in the TV show our time on Hershel’s Farm has come and gone.
There has been no word on whether or not Abraham and Eugene will be coming a board for the show yet. However, it was revealed that Serratos‘ part in season for is recurring with an option to be a series regular in season five.
