VOLSTAGG Has A Tale To Tell In A THOR: THE DARK WORLD Deleted Scene
Marvel has begun the media blitz for the Blu-ray and DVD release of Thor: The Dark World, hitting store shelves on February 25th. We’ve seen a few Tom Hiddleston-centric clips and featurettes containing his audition as Thor, but now we get our first deleted scene from the Alan Taylor directed film. Thor, Volstagg, and Fandral are celebrating their victory over the Marauders in the Asgardian mead hall.
Collider debuted the deleted scene featuring Volstagg (Ray Stevenson) telling a tall tale about one of Thor and the Warriors Three‘s big battles. It appears that Volstagg‘s children are in attendance for the entertainment as well. We heard a lot from Taylor and company about how the mead hall and Volstagg‘s family were interesting parts of the film, but they were largely cut in the final product. It’s nice to see them included on the home release. Thor also appears to have learned a lesson about throwing cups. What do you think of the deleted scene? Would you have liked to have seen Asgard fleshed out a little more in this way?
