Uproar Comics Gearing Up For New Issue Of Zombies Hi
You may remember toward the end of last year we reviewed an indie zombie series from the Emerald Isle, called Zombies Hi (click here to revisit that review). Well now the 8th issue of the series is about to take a bite out of the comics market. We were sent this press release to herald the new issue as well as a preview of some of the art. You can read the full press release below to find out what Zombies Hi is up to this go around.
Uproar Comics Release New Issue of ‘Zombies Hi’-
Issue 8 or Issue ATE: Dead On Arrival
This is the much anticipated Issue 8 of the “Zombies Hi” series. In “Zombies Hi”, the main continuing story is set in Derry, Northern Ireland during the onset of a Zombie Apocalypse following the survivors as they use its ancient stone walls as a barricade between them and the Undead. The book is a collection of stories in different formats ranging from prose to graphics orientated storytelling, all with an undead theme. The book is part of an on-going series which follows the main story but also includes others from the up and coming talent in the worlds of writing and art.
In the main “Zombies Hi” story arc, where the remaining survivors are beginning to take action with the aim of reclaiming their city after a mysterious figure plans anarchy from the shadows and sends his ‘soldier’ who has been dealing with the terror he has already brought to do more harm before he can be set free from this horrible burden. We see that old horrors and political inclinations lead men down a path that could lead to their spiritual demise let alone their physical demise at the hands of zombies and terrorists.
After the last instalment Of Zombies Hi where our villainous victim, Sean, comes clean about what he did, we snap back to the treacherous situation at the Hospital. Our survivors, who delved into the heart of the zombie infestation, are now surrounded by the Undead inside and out. Can they get out of this direly undead predicament??
After the fearless team led by Doc explode their way into the Hospital, and trying to retrieve as much Medical Supplies as possible, they split up!
Burly Del and Necrocidal Vaughan find a crashed Military Helicopter! What does it mean? Whilst they consider this the others run into our beloved Johnny from the band Clench and Steph. As the Doc zaps a zombie with a tazer, the pupils emerge on the blank eyes of the undead and disappear again. This electrifies the Doc’s curiosity, why do the eyes appear with electric??
Cornered, the Doc tries to get as much data about the Undead and needs to find the zombie with eyes… Ivan! But can they escape this treacherous entrapment.
This Issue is the biggest and most balls to the wall action packed yet! We see hordes like we’ve never seen before. Will they survive being trapped in the most Zombie infested ground-zero??
