Trevor ‘The Mandarin’ Slattery May Indeed Be The Focus Of MARVEL’s New One-Shot
Yesterday we brought you a story about the special features for the Thor: The Dark World Blu-ray being classified. It was revealed that the one Marvel one-shot would be titled All Hail The King, clocking in at just over 13-minutes. Many speculated that it would be about Sir Ben Kingsley‘s Trevor Slattery. Some had the idea that it could be about Loki considering where he ended up at the end of The Dark World. Well today Iron Man 3 co-writer Drew Pearce hints that it will indeed be related to the billion-dollar box office success he worked on with Shane Black.
Taking to Twitter to share a late ‘Happy New Year’ message, Pearce tacked on a bit about All Hail The King. I think that’s a pretty good indication about what the one-shot is. Pearce probably had a hand in the script too. One-shots don’t usually tie in to the movies their released on Blu-ray with, so Loki seemed unlikely to begin with. There’s also the fact Kingsley said he filmed something else for Marvel. Now all we need to know is what it’s about. Is it before or after he became “The Mandarin?” Trevor did say his King Lear was the talk of Croydon, so it could go either way. Maybe we could even see the real Mandarin considering how that was horribly handled in the film. What do you think? Do you want to see more from Kingsley as either the real Mandarin or Trevor Slattery landing the job?
Belated happy new year, people. Oh, and #AllHailTheKing
