Tom Hiddleston Talks About A Possible Solo LOKI Movie Then Busts A Move In South Korea
Tom Hiddleston has become a phenomenon. He plays a villain in the Marvel Universe, but he has quickly become one of the most popular characters ever. The only person that can say they’re more beloved than Hiddleston is Robert Downey Jr. Ever since the actor stole the show in Thor and The Avengers, fans have been talking about a possible Loki solo film. It would be a harder sell than a lot of the other Marvel movies, but Hiddleston could definitely pull off being a leading man. Hiddleston was recently asked about that exact possibility and if he thought it was a good idea.
Speaking with Collider recently, Hiddleston was asked if Loki was strong enough to handle a solo film. The actor thinks Loki could hold his own, but there are no plans for it to happen. That doesn’t mean Hiddleston doesn’t have a cool idea he’d like to explore:
The idea of their being a Loki solo film is such a compliment. I can officially tell you there is no movement on it. You know, I’d have to have a big brain storm with Kevin Feige about it if it ever came around. I do agree with you that Loki defines himself in opposition to Thor. There is Thor without Loki, there is no Loki without Thor. This part of his nature is that he defines himself in opposition to other people. There are also whole narrative in the comics which are huge fun, where he goes on his own adventures. To be honest I don’t know. There are things I’d love to do with him. I’d love to see him out of context, on earth, in the 70s running a nightclub, playing lots of Rolling Stones. Those are harebrained ideas that I have. Who knows? Who knows? At the moment I’ve made three films with Loki in them. I’m very proud of them. If it ends there, that’s where it ends.
While we wait to see if Loki is even alive when Thor: The Dark World ends, we can bask in all of the Hiddleston glory that has hit the web since the promotional tour for the film started. The Marvel crew was recently in Soul, South Korea promoting the film when Hiddleston was asked to about an interesting question. The actor was talking about his feet and how he needed them due to his love of dance. The followup question was if he would be so kind as to demonstrate his moves. He asked for some music to be played, then he went to work. His name is Loki of Asgard and he has been burdened with glorious dance moves. What do you think about Hiddleston‘s comments? What do you think about those moves?
