toby-kebbell-uk-premiere-of-wrath-of-the-titans-02Like it or not, Fox is hellbent on bringing an younger cast to the reboot of the first family of comics in the Fantastic FourJosh Trank, who is directing the new film, has assembled an interesting cast so far, with Miles Teller leading the way as Reed RichardsJamie Bell as Ben Grimm, Kate Mara and Michael B. Jordan playing Sue and Johnny Storm respectivelyWe had heard some rumors a while back in regards to the casting of the big baddy of the franchise Doctor Doom, with names like Jack Huston and Eddie Redmayne being tossed around, but the rumors quickly feel by the wayside and little more was heard.

Today, however, comes news, via Variety, that Toby Kebbell will don the metal mask and fill the infamous villain role. Kebbell may not be immediately recognizable to most folks, but when you look at his past work, you may see something you know. He filled the role of Johnny Quid in the quirky RocknRolla  and also starred along side Jake Gyllenhaal in the adaptation of Prince of Persia. Kebbell is currently filming the anticipated Warcraft film with Duncan Jones and can be seen later this year in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes as Koba.

The Fantastic Four reboot is slated to begin filming in the coming weeks, and now that the five major roles have been filled, we can expect to see the rest of the cast come together rather quickly. The film, which is being produced by Matthew Vaughn, is slated for a summer 2015 release. What do you guys think of this casting? It certainly stays in line with what Trank has already put together. Stay tuned to Comic Book Therapy for more news as it comes along.
