The Walking Dead Episode 409 Overview

The Walking Dead mid season premiere returns this Sunday, and fans around the globe are impatiently waiting for its return.

I’ve had the opportunity of watching the episode last week (courtesy of AMC), and I can tell you this: YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED.

Obviously I won’t give out any spoilers, but I will do an overview of the episode.

It is no secret that this episode will focus mainly on Rick and Carl as they escaped the prison attack by the Governor and his army, and we see them looking for shelter. Rick is wounded pretty badly since the governor beat him up mercilessly in the previous episode. Plus he got shot in the leg , so things are not looking too well for him. Add that to the fact that he might’ve lost his daughter Judith in the carnage, and we have a one messed up dude. Carl is a total badass in this episode, he is not the whiny kid that wouldn’t stay inside the house anymore. We, the audience, will feel his pain, and we will also notice that Carl is not a kid anymore. He was forced to grow up really fast and this episode reinforces that.

The opening scene it’s very, let’s say, emotional and a tad gruesome, but that’s nothing new, right? I mean we are talking about The Walking Dead here. It’s a very good scene, and it will make you feel….stuff….things.
Even though it’s a brief scene, it carries enough power to play with your feelings. That’s all I’m gonna say.

There are some scenes that jump out straight out of the comic book that will have fans cheering.

Another thing is that we will see a lot of action. Are you a fan of katana swords? Well, you won’t be disappointed. But I must warn you, this is not an episode with just hack and slash action, it is very emotional. We get to see our characters in their most vulnerable moments. We feel their pain, loss and suffering.

One thing that happens in this episode is that someone throws up. I had to say it. Is not a huge spoiler, but you will remember I said it. Hehehe.

We also get to see some new characters in this episode. Well, I’m not sure of I should use the term “new” but we will learn new things from them. Let’s just leave it at that. I hate to be so cryptic but I want you all to enjoy the episode.

Now what can I say about the ending? I liked it, actually I loved it and I’m sure you will too. You don’t get to see these types of endings that often in the world of The Walking Dead, so it’s nice to see this.

But don’t fool yourselves, there’s a lot of unanswered questions that remain to be answered in the following episodes, so stay tuned.

What about those rumors going around the web is that we will see some characters from the last episode return? YES we will see some characters returning to this episode, and YES some we thought we would never see again BUT……well you just wait and see.

I’m curious to see how the writers and producers are going to top this episode, I mean the season finale it’s gonna have to be insane!

Overall, a great episode with lots of action and emotional moments. You are going to love it!
