The long-awaited television advertisement for “The Avengers“, aired during the Super Bowl is now online.
The spot is sure to delight fans eager for new information about the film that brings together Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, among many other heroes and villains in the same movie.
Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures Marvel’s The Avengers–the super hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.
After airing a TV spot for The Avengers during the Super Bowl Marvel released an extended version online. It runs for just over one minute and contains new footage of all the major players, including The Hulk who causes some carnage.
The first version aired on television a few moments ago.
The second is an extended edition released online by Marvel.
The film is directed by Joss Whedon (“Firefly”), who also wrote the movie. The cast of “The Avengers” features Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark aka Iron Man, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Chris Evans as the charismatic Captain America, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson. Also noteworthy is the presence of Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow.
“The Avengers” debuts May 4, 2012, in theaters in the U.S..
