by

spider-man iconThursday The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Facebook page shared a thrilling 40-second teaser trailer that featured Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) trying to save Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) from a rather nasty fall. Fans of the comics thought Gwen‘s fate was being teased. The video was labeled as part 1 of the Super Bowl spot and had a gigantic ‘to be continued’ ending. Well the second part, or more accurately the full Super Bowl spot, has aired. No use teasing you any further with what comes next, just check out the full thing below. It seems to be the trend that a full trailer is released after the commercial airs, but Sony did things differently. You can check out nearly 4 minutes of footage in a special sizzle reel below the ad. If you need to check out part 1 again click right here. What do you think about Spider-Man‘s Super Bowl teaser? The move hits theaters May 2.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.
