It’s been a few since we’ve had the chance to report news on the Star Wars front. So far, we know that JJ Abrams, who just opened his second film in the popular Star Trek franchise, will be helming the latest film in what is one of the top film franchises in history. We also know that Harrison [...]
J.J. Abrams Seems To Finally Admit Star Wars May Keep Him From Directing Star Trek 3
J.J. Abrams has had a tough job the past few months. He was announced as the director for Star Wars VIII, but he still had to go out and promote Star Trek Into Darkness. Luckily for him, the Star Wars questions haven’t completely overshadowed the Star Trek movie tour. The two huge franchises owned by [...]
Are Star Trek 3 Plans Already In Motion? And Without JJ Abrams?
Star Trek Into Darkness will beam into theaters in just a few weeks, but plans seem to already be in motion for a third outing. This shouldn’t come as too big of a surprise since plans for Into Darkness were in motion before the first film was completed. On the red carpet premiere for the [...]
May the Fourth Be With You? How Cliche!
As I was prepping myself for work this morning, pampering myself with my manly-man products, I heard a promo being run on a local radio station where they were going to give away two front row tickets to the ReAL Salt Lake soccer game this Saturday night. The station gave away the tickets to the [...]
Star Wars Movies Hitting Theaters Every Summer Starting in 2015
We’ve known for some time that Walt Disney and LucasFilm were planning a 2015 release date for its planned Episode VII project, but we never got confirmation on when in 2015. We can now say that it will indeed be summer of that year. In addition to that, we can expect a new Star Wars-centered film every summer after that. This includes the previously announced stand-alone films. So, as it stands, we’ll see the new trilogy alternate with the solo/stand alone films that will be based on previously featured characters.
Review: Star Wars #3
Brian Wood has done a good job so far of writing the characters in their unique voices. But he takes that one step further in Star Wars #3, pushing them into unfamiliar territories for long time fans. Much like the last few issues, Star Wars #3 is jam packed with plot. It’s constantly jumping from [...]
Review: Star Wars #2
Star Wars #1 was a great #1. It got me into Star Wars comics, a comic universe I never delved into. #2 is just as good, with Brian Wood dangling a lot of plot threads perfectly. One thing can be said about Wood’s Star Wars, and that it is jam packed. Wood gives an even [...]

First Stand Alone Star Wars Film Could Center on Yoda
While news of JJ Abrams taking the job as director for the upcoming Episode VII, there are still some rumblings of stand-alone films being made. The first time we heard this idea was a while back when Zack Snyder was rumored to be helming a Star Wars film that would be based loosely on the Seven Samurai. His reps quickly shot the [...]

Star Wars Series Headed to ABC?
For some time now,a live-action Star Wars series has been in the works in some fashion, but the huge budget needed to produce the series kept the project from really gaining any traction. However, after Disney purchased Lucas, this series may have new life. ABC, which is owned by the House of Mouse, has expressed interest in [...]
Review: Star Wars #1
Star Wars has been a staple in my pop culture consumption, but the comics have always eluded me. Not any more. Star Wars #1 is probably the most accessible Star Wars comic that has ever been made. Brian Wood spends #1 setting up each and every character. What have they been doing since the end [...]
