Sushi Chefs vs Giant Kaiju Fish in “Monster Roll”

Today while going through my daily webcomics I ran across an amazing “proof of concept” trailer/short for a project called “Monster Roll.”
It starts off with a great narration like that of those great old time dubbed Asian movies from the 60s into early 80s. Explaining in ancient times man made a pact with the sea to kill only what they can eat and how as time went on the word was broken, setting up the premise of this short.
I won’t get into the contents of this trailer/short too much as it warrants a watch, but what I will say is that the VFX are outstanding especially if you’re a big bad kaiju fan!
Here is the short for all you fellow nerds to peep out!
Monster Roll was released on the web this week, more info about them can be found on their Facebook page and the website MonsterRoll.com. Currently there are no plans for a feature but according to the description on their Vimeo page they could start a kickstarter campaign to get one made.
