And here it is…another week of news and thoughts on two of the hottest horror fantasy adventure dramas, SUPERNATURAL and THE WALKING DEAD. Albeit, that was a pretty mellow week for BOTH shows. First, SUPERNATURAL… taking yet another detour with Sam and Dean but with them FINALLY taking on remnants of the Greek Gods, fighting alongside Prometheus to free him and his son from a curse given to him by Zeus, along with Artemis as Zeus’s right-hand daughter. We move onto THE WALKING DEAD, its own filler detour with Rick, Carl, and Michonne back to the Grimes’s hometown area for supplies and where Rick reunites with an old comrade from his early recovery days from escaping the hospital and seeking refuge from the Walkers.
The Prognosis begins NOW!!
Again, this time, another filler episode with Sam and Dean taking on the big man of the Greek Gods himself, Zeus, along with his daughter Artmemis to save Prometheus and his son from their periodic death and resurrection curse. Sam and Dean successfully taking on both using their resources from their Men of Letters HQ to summon and take down Zeus, but ultimately, it was a combination of Artemis’s last moment interference and Prometheus’s ending sacrifice that ended Zeus and his curse against him and his son.
OK episode, BUT I have to say this folks, there really doesn’t seem to be much going on in this episode that would relate to the big picture of Sam and Dean’s epic struggles here. Apart from them using the Men of Letters library resources to summon Zeus and work on taking him out, plus a heartfelt prayer from Dean to Cas’ to look after Sam and his trials at episode’s end, there was not a whole lot of character development for the story. But still, a fairly stable filler story to go on for the BIG surprise that awaited us fans when this episode ended.
THE BIG TREAT!!? The preview for next new episode of SUPERNATURAL. And boy, does it look thrilling. Guess who is back? Not just Cas’….but MEG!! The demon you can actually trust(?)… Back from hell, or wherever Crowley has been keeping her since she was first taken back in by Crowley and his band of ill-repute (for siding with the Winchesters and Castiel against him and Leviathan Dick Roman in Season 7). From all appearances, she looks pretty beat up and like she vesseled into a transient, junkie, or prostitute. She, like Crowley, is going after the Angel Tablet. It also appears she first partners back with all three Cas’, Sam, and Dean…but maybe not for long. Back to Cas’…from the looks of things on how he is portrayed in the preview, Naomi may have messed with his hardwiring at some point and could be going rogue against the Winchester’s goals also. Crowley, just as nasty and despicable as ever (maybe even more so), returns as well… The battle with this unholy trinity is soon to begin, and it looks like Sam, Dean, and maybe Kevin too, will have their hands full.
Thoughts and the questions: Do you think Cas’, Meg and Crowley somehow acting as TOGETHER, are about to make things A WHOLE HELL of a lot more difficult for the Winchesters? Will they get to the Angel Tablet and use it successfully first before Sam, Dean and Kevin can stop them with the demon tablet rituals? Things are about to get a bit darker here. CANNOT WAIT!! But I guess we shall all have to. Fingers crossed for March 20th to arrive…

UPDATE EXTRA: CW’s Official Description for Season 8, Episode 17: Goodbye, Stranger
“SAM, DEAN, CASTIEL AND MEG TEAM UP AGAINST CROWLEY AND HIS DEMONS — Castiel reappears in Sam and Dean’s life and tells them Crowley has unleashed several demons into a small town. The demons are looking for Lucifer’s Crypt, which holds a valuable asset, but Castiel lies to Sam and Dean about what it is. While interrogating a demon, the three discover Crowley has been torturing Meg, who knows the exact location of the crypt. Sam and Meg fight to hold Crowley off while Dean and Castiel go in search of the crypt.”
THE WALKING DEAD
Well, looks like the last show had a calm repose for the week. This episode focused on a road trip and a reflection for the compassionate side of Rick, Carl and Michonne as they go scavenging for supplies as the Grimes’s old neighboring town. As fate would have it, they(well with Rick in particular) arrive at the time when the town is mysteriously occupied by someone who rigs the streetway with traps for Walkers. After a deadly shootout encounter with this mysteriously individual, surprisingly ended by Carl shooting down the stranger, the man is revealed to be Rick’s old acquaintance, Morgan Jones. As the three look after him a bit, then Carl and Michonne go on a baby run for Judith’s new crib and other supplies. Carl tries to evade Michonne to go tend a more personal pursuit, but Michonne catches him and lets him know she cares enough to help.
Carl and Michonne head to old bar and grill hangout to recover an undisclosed item. Despite walkers intervening their journey inside the establishment, they eventually escape, with picture of father, mother, and himself in hand, crib and supplies the same. Meantime, as Morgan recovers, Rick and him have it out while getting re-acquainted as Morgan how he was very angry at how abandoned he felt by Rick since he(Rick) left and never tried to communicate. Also, Morgan notes at the guilt he felt not having the strength to use the gun against his now-then walker wife and let his son get attacked and killed. Rick tells his side and the two realize they need to break free from this life eventually as they fight for survival in the zombie apocalypse. The episode ends with Rick, Michonne, and Carl leaving town and with Morgan staying behind to deal with his own matters. It ends on a happier note with Rick, and Carl knowing they have a trusting friend in Michonne after all.
Not much to say on this episode, a little bit more of a filler… But what can be thought about and asked of this? Thoughts and questions: Given the untrusting attitude of Rick and the others in confronting outsiders of the group (hence the general theme of THE WALKING DEAD‘s slogan: FIGHT THE DEAD, FEAR THE LIVING), do you think this episode makes a pivotal point about Rick and the group making better efforts on learning to trust others on easier terms and to communicate better with those who they do trust? Or should they always be on a deadly defensive with anyone, even amongst themselves? And moving on, let’s take a look at tonight’s episode…it looks like Rick and the Governor are in peace talks… But ah yes, is this a ruse for the Governor to get closer to Rick and find a way to get rid of the rest of Rick’s people in at the Prison?…Or Worse? Again, We found out TONIGHT!
THE WALKING DEAD Sneak Peek Season 3, Episode 13: Rick and Daryl infiltrate the meeting point with Hershel on getaway and watch duty, packing serious HEAT!!
