Steven Moffat And Matt Smith Will Announce The New Doctor This Sunday
This Sunday Doctor Who fans across the globe will find out the identity of the next Doctor. It has been reported that the BBC will air a special program at 7pm hosted by Zoe Ball to make the announcement that will undoubtedly break the internet.
Steven Moffat and Matt Smith will appear live to announce the next man or woman who will be inhabiting the TARDIS. Casting for the role is said to have been done under the codename Whodini and most everyone involved with the auditions had no idea what they were really working on according to Bleeding Cool. The program will feature a live studio audience of fans who have been told to cosplay as their favorite Doctor Who characters. A few previous Doctors will appear to take part in a discussion of the show’s legacy and there will be numerous clips from the show’s 50 year run. There are also rumblings that the first footage from the 50th Anniversary will be show as well. BBC America is supposed to host a simultaneous broadcast for us U.S. fans. The Twelfth Doctor has been cast! Find out who he or she is on BBC One this Sunday at 7pm in Doctor Who Live! It’s simulcast on BBC America. This half-hour show will include live special guests, Doctors old and new, companions, celebrity fans & clips from Doctor Who’s 50-year history. Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith & showrunner Steven Moffat will be there to talk about the biggest role in TV- before Doctor No. 12 is revealed! Steve Moffat says ‘The time has come to reveal who’s taking over the TARDIS. For the last of the Time Lords, the clock is striking twelve.‘
