Stephen Amell Teases Big Things For Arrow Season 2

by

arrow bannerThe last few days have been pretty big for Arrow. The internet was in a tizzy as we waited to see who would be cast as Barry Allen for the three episodes this season that will try to sell viewers on a Flash series. Last night it was revealed that Glee alumn Grant Gustin would be The CW‘s speedster (original story here). With the season 2 premiere inching ever closer, there still seem to be a few surprises to come. Stephen Amell, Oliver Queen himself, took to his official Facebook page to tease some of those big things.

We know this season will have lots of DC characters like Black Canary, Brother Blood, Bronze Tiger, and the aforementioned Flash, but Amell seems to be hinting that there could be a few more we don’t know about just yet. Add in the fact that Colton Haynes has been promoted to series regular, so we could see Arrow taking on a sidekick soon. Amell teased some of the big developments in a Facebook post saying:

Do you know that we’re a quarter of the way done shooting Season 2 of Arrow? Well, we are. Some thoughts:

1. DC Characters. Everywhere.
2. Bigger action. Fights also had to get meaner.
3. My new bow = Scary.
4. Is it possible that a TON is happening while simultaneously setting the table for massive reveals & expectation shattering revelations?… Yes it is.
5. Bromance.

Hope that is sufficiently vague and decidedly interesting.

It took Arrow half a season to find its feet, but once it figured out what it wanted to do it really got rolling. On paper season 2 looks to be shaping up to be something special. Hopefully they keep up the momentum they gained toward the end of the first season. What do you think about Amell‘s teasers? What do you hope to see this season?
