Star Wars Casting Call Seems To Hint At A Certain Wookiee’s Return

by

chewieThere’s been countless bits of Star Wars VII speculation and even more rumors the past few months. We try to sift through them all and only bring you the ones we think may have some truth to them. Today a pretty solid piece of Star Wars news hit in the form of a casting call. Several acting agencies that specialize in talent with certain physical attributes have gotten a call for a type of actor that seems to fit with a certain someone from the classic series we all know and love:

Tall Man (Male, 21 – 60) Male, 7 ft to 7.3 ft tall with a slim/thin build and upright posture. Not too worked out or too ‘thick set’ especially in the shoulders. Broad facial features would be a bonus.

While that could be for a different type of creature, alien species, or any number of things really, it does sound a lot like Chewbacca. Peter Mayhew would not be able to return alongside Harrison Ford due to recent knee surgery. Mayhew still makes the convention rounds, but his health wouldn’t allow him to put on the big fur suit and run around in a galaxy far, far away. With the rumored Han Solo…well…solo film, there would be need for a younger gentleman gifted with height to pal around with the captain of the Millennium Falcon. Mayhew stood at 7’2″ so the description fits. With Harrison Ford all but officially confirmed, it wouldn’t make sense to leave Chewie out. It would take some Death Star sized cojones for J.J. Abrams to have the Wookie die before Episode VII. What do you think about the casting call description? Does this hint at Chewie or is this wishful thinking?
