Spider-Man Solicits Tease “Superior Spider-Man No More!”

superior bannerThe covers and solicit info for Superior Spider-Man issues 9 and 10 have been revealed, and they tease another major change coming up for the wall crawler. Issue 9 is said to “get you angrier than you were after Spidey #700!” That’s a pretty big statement on Marvel’s part. I Think everything short of a riot with nerds flipping over cars happened when #700 hit. The battle for Peter Parker’s mind will come to an end and only the super villain trying to be a hero or Jedi ghost of the real hero will survive. Then the next issue will feature the return of the Green Goblin. We’ve been seeing this story teased in the pages of Amazing and now Superior for several months. No look at the Goblin just yet, but rest assured he is coming. Check out the cover and info CBR got their hands on below:

I'm a comic book and movie nerd who loves to share news I find interesting and hope you do as well. I'm a big Doctor Who fan and sci-fi in general. My favorite comic characters you ask? Well Thor, Wolverine, and Daredevil.

  1. When DC killed off Supergirl and the Flash back in the Crisis in Infinite Earths at least they had enough respect for the readers and to the story to leave the characters dead for a couple of decades. With Professor X dead for (at least) the fifth time Marvel continues to prove that they have no testicular fortitude whatsoever. Peter Parker was already talking his way out of the lame Freaky Friday plot in the first issue of Superior Spider-Man. Even when DC ‘killed’ Superman they kept him out of the picture for a while. The House of recycled Ideas is unable to commit themselves to anything but the status quo.
