Shredder’s Armor Revealed In New TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLE Image

To say that Michael Bay and Jonathan Liebesman’s new take on the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise has been controversial is a bit of an understatement. From the get-go, the film has been the subject of criticism from fans and non fans alike. From the origins, to the design, to the actors and of course, Michael “Boom Boom” Bay’s involvement. Then the first trailer hit and people started to change their minds. Not a complete 180 by any means, but fans have been more willing to give the film a chance. The film comes out in just under two-month’s time, so we’ll see how this all plays out.

In the meantime, we have a new image from Twitter from the film to gawk over and it’s a doozy. The image features a nice look at the big baddie, Shredder, played by William Fichtner, and he is seen in his full, blade-laden armor, with the Turtle’s mentor, Splinter (Tony Shalhoub) seen in the foreground. A while back, this costume was described as a “very complicated outfit” and I think it’s safe to say that that description is quite accurate. This suit gives a whole new meaning to the name Shredder.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stars Megan Fox, William Fichtner, Tony Shalhoub, Will Arnett, Johnny Knoxville, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher and Jeremy Howard. The film hits theaters August 8th.
