It has been two years since John Watson (Martin Freeman) watched his friend fall to his death. Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) is gone, but not forgotten. Now it turns out he might not even be gone. Two years is about all the time Sherlock can stand being dead. He’s working his way back home, but very few people are seeing the pattern. The BBC has released the first ever Sherlock mini-episode, entitled Many Happy Returns, ahead of the new series kicking off this January. It’s a fantastic 7-minute taste of the upcoming third series that can help tide you over until New Year’s Day. There’s not much more to say without spoiling it, so check it out below.
