Shane Black And Kevin Feige Talk Iron Man 3: Demon In A Bottle, Deleted Scenes, And More
The hour is almost upon us. We in the States are just a few days away from finally seeing Iron Man 3 for ourselves. As the press starts to die down ahead of the release, there are still a few new tidbits of information coming out about the threequel directed by Shane Black. Collider got the chance to speak with Black and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige about a few things we haven’t really heard much about in the deluge of interviews.
The duo address whether or not there were talks to incorporate the classic Demon in a Bottle storyline. As you know, that arc saw Tony dealing with his alcoholism. The two men said there was brief discussions, but they felt they touched on it in the second film enough. Black also reveals how much footage they cut and whether we’ll see it on the Blu-ray release or the Marvel Phase Two Boxset. There’s a brief update from Black about Doc Savage in the middle, but the two wrap up by discussing who came up with the after-credits scene. Don’t worry, they don’t go into any spoilers they just talk about how it actually came about and whose idea it was. What do you think about Black and Feige‘s comments? Do you think an Iron Man movie should ever really dive into the Demon in a Bottle story?
