Season Finale Details For ARROW And AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Emerge

arrow shieldArrow and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are two of the biggest comic book shows out there, and each has fans talking for a variety of different reasons. Arrow is getting ready to wrap up its second season while S.H.I.E.L.D. is gearing up for the finale of their freshman outing. Both shows will bow out within one day of each other over the nights of May 13th and 14th. While those two shows of are particular interest for people like us, other shows are starting to come to an end as well. Ahead of the big finales, TV Guide has posted a rundown of their season finale scoops for over 39 shows.

The section for Arrow teases the big, potentially final, showdown between Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Slade “Deathstroke” Wilson (Manu Bennett). The battle takes place in three stages over three episodes, with the last part taking place in what the site calls ‘24-style real time.’ The Deathstroke fight isn’t the only thing that will give Ollie some trouble though:

Oliver and Slade’s ultimate showdown will be a three-part affair starting with the April 30 episode — and the final hour will take place in 24-style real time. With Roy more dangerous than ever and Laurel in the know about Oliver’s secret, the Arrow’s life is slowly crumbling around him in what executive producer Andrew Kreisberg calls “some of the darkest stuff we’ve ever done.” Several familiar faces will return to help in the final fight for Starling City, but what happens in town is only half of it. “There’s a couple of massive surprises for the island,” Kreisberg says, hinting that there could be a death before the season is up. “The gloves are off and anybody can die at any minute.”

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s finale tease suggests that the show will finally turn over some of the cards fans have been waiting to see all season. There are of course developments with HYDRA and the Clairvoyant, but the biggest reveal will be when the team finds out where Ward‘s true allegiances lie:

Now that Hydra has revealed themselves and S.H.I.E.L.D. has been disbanded, Coulson and his team are on their own to take down the now-missing Clairvoyant. But how will they react when they learn Ward is actually a member of Hydra planted in their group? The finale will address Ward’s true allegiances as well as answer questions about Skye’s lineage, who’s controlling Deathlok and what the Clairvoyant wants with Coulson. “We think the audience is waiting for a showdown between Coulson’s team and Garrett’s team and they’re going to get a satisfying payoff to that epic conclusion,” executive producer Jeffrey Bell says, hinting there could be other sleepers. “If they win, it comes at a price.” Plus: Nick Fury returns!

So two big shows will have two big finales. No surprises there, but I’m sure there will be plenty of surprises contained within each show’s hour of action. What do you think about the finale teasers? Any guesses on what happens with either show?
