SDCC ’13: Get Your BAMF On: The Real Nightcrawler Getting Rescued From Hell In Amazing X-Men #1
Today at Marvel‘s X-Men comic book panels, they made an announcement that should please a pretty large section of fandom. Jason Aaron and Ed McGuinness will team up for a new book called Amazing X-Men #1. The team of that book will be mostly members of the teaching staff of the Jean Grey School: Wolverine, Storm, Beast, Iceman, Northstar, and Firestar. The new team will be going to Hell to rescue Nightcrawler. Yes, Nightcrawler will be saved from Hell and probably reintroduced into the Marvel universe after a lengthy death. The story’s villain will be Nightcrawler‘s papa Azazel…as a demon pirate. This image below was released along with the announcement.
Nightcrawler has been dead a surprisingly long time considering how quick comic book deaths are nowadays. It’s even more surprising considering he’s one of the few dead characters fans really want to come back to life. Aaron will be giving the fans what they want (hopefully) along with his regular X-Men book and Thor. So as you can see, you have Storm with a mohawk, Nightcrawler resurrected, and we’ll probably get the answer to the mystery of those little blue bamfs that live in the Jean Grey School. What do you think about Nightcrawler‘s return? Are you ready to get your BAMF on this November?
