SDCC ’13: First Clip From Marvel’s Agent Carter One-Shot
Marvel‘s latest one-shot mini-movie focuses on Captain America‘s main squeeze, Peggy Carter. We’ve brought you a few pieces of news about the short over the past few weeks, but the actual feature was screened just a few hours ago at Comic-Con. It was reportedly met with thunderous applause and fans demanding a female superhero movie. If you weren’t lucky enough to see it tonight EW has unveiled the first clip showing Haley Atwell in action.
The short is described as “action-noir” and focuses on Peggy Carter just a few years after we last saw her in Captain America: The First Avenger. She has moved to New York to work for a “watchdog group that will eventually become S.H.I.E.L.D.” Carter is a desk jockey, but when she’s the only one in the office and a call comes through from an agent (voiced by Iron Man 3 director Shane Black) that says the “Zodiac” has been found and three to five agents are needed, Agent Carter takes the mission on herself. The short also features Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark. EW says there are several other cameos to be on the lookout for as well. Agent Carter will be released on the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray Sept. 24. EW doesn’t let you embed videos, so click on the picture below to hop over to where you can see the clip. What do you think of Agent Carter getting her own short?
