SDCC ’13: ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ Prequel Comic Book Revealed

I’m not going to lie to you; I’m extremely excited for Matt Reeves’ (Cloverfield) “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.” I absolutely love this franchise and also loved the heck out of 2011’s “Rise of the Planet of the Apes.” It got announced today that “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” will be getting a prequel comic book treatment, which these days it’s pretty normal. Well some are good and some are bad, I’m looking forward to this one. No writer or artist has been announced yet, or whether it’ll be digital only or not. Maybe they’ll announce more information during 20th Century Fox‘s Hall H panel, where they’ll hopefully show the first footage for “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes“!

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” which is directed by Matt Reeves, hits theaters July 18th,2014, and stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo, and Judy Greer.
