Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver Won’t Be Related To Inhumans In AVENGERS: AGE OF UTRON

by

scarlet-witch-quicksilver-castingThe other day, there was a rumor that surfaced that stated the brother/sister duo of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver would be linked to the famed Inhumans in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron. The rumor stated that the pair would essentially be a lead-in to an Inhumans film later down the road. As many of us know by know, Marvel Studios is not able to refer to any of their characters as, or use the term Mutants in their films, as Fox owns the rights to that term for their X-Men franchise. So, Marvel must come up with a different way to describe the two characters.

Having Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver originate as Inhumans may seem like a decent way to go, but it’s a bit of a stretch and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige agrees. In a recent interview, with The Huffington Post, Kevin Feige clears the air and states that the pair will not be linked to the Inhumans.

“Well, Inhumans is something that we are definitely thinking about and we think there’s great potential there for a great movie. But, no, no — we have not linked those two. As it relates to Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver? No. No, no, no”.

Seems pretty firm on that. So what will they be called if they can’t be called mutants? Your guess is as good as mine. That’s something we’ll just have to wait and see. But, I will say this, we may find out sooner rather than later. (*wink, wink*). How do you think they should explain the power origins of Wanda and Pietro? Sound off below!
