Sam Jackson On Nick Fury - Comic Book Therapy

Sam Jackson On Nick Fury

nick furySamuel Jackson has been in almost every movie ever made as far as I know. The actor will next be seen in the all-star cast of Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained. While making the press rounds for the film, Coming Soon got a chance to ask the actor about the role he’s probably best known for now- Nick Fury.

Nick Fury has appeared in the Marvel cinematic universe four times now. Jackson commented on playing the character multiple times:

Everybody likes a franchise character. Bruce (Willis) had his and Sylvester Stallone had Rocky, so I like coming back to Nick Fury. Nick Fury’s a great guy.

furyOne movie that fans want to see and rumors say is a possibility is a Nick Fury movie, or at least a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie focusing on Fury. Jackson touched on whether or not it is important to have his own film so some of the questions about his character could be answered:

I think a lot of people know that. I know him as something else because I’ve been alive longer than most of the fans that watch the movies so I know Nick Fury as the World War II veteran and all that stuff. It might be interesting to do one day but we find out little bits and pieces about Nick and we’re going into ‘Captain America 2′ in late March.

Sam Jackson went on to confirm that Fury will have a bigger role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The role is said to be similar to how involved Fury was in Iron Man 2. What do you think? Do you want a Nick Fury movie? Would you settle for more Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. in the sequels?
