S.H.I.E.L.D. Show Gets A New Recruit

We know that Clark Gregg is the first recruit and will be returning to Joss Whedon’s S.H.I.E.L.D. television series in some form or fashion. Joining Gregg on the hellicarrier will be Ming-Na Wen (ER) as Agent Melinda May.
Deadline is reporting that Ming-Na will play Agent Melinda May, an agent who is soulful but damaged from her combat experiences. Agent May is an “ace pilot, a weapons expert and a soldier who can-and has- gone beyond the call of duty.” The character was originally called Agent Althea Rice aka The Calvary on the casting breakdown that came out a month ago.
Two agents have reported for duty in the show co-written by Marvel godfather Joss Whedon with his brother Jed. With two bits of casting announced, it’s only a matter of time before even more news on the show starts rolling out. What do you think about the newest addition?
