Rumors Point To Ms. Marvel on The Avengers 2; Talks Of Emily Blunt & Ruth Wilson
Since it was confirmed that the Marvel Studios blockbuster The Avengers would have a sequel, speculation about possible new additions to the sequel have been here, there and everywhere! Even Joss Whedon, director of the first film, has said that he already had in mind some new characters that could possibly appear in the sequel.
It now appears that, in accordance with information given to The Daily Mail, there is a possibility that one of these new characters is Carol Danvers, also known as Ms. Marvel! Until we have an official confirmation take it as a rumor obviously, but according to what the The Daily Mai says:
“Meanwhile, British actresses Emily Blunt and Ruth Wilson are head-to-head in a race for the most sought-after new female role in Hollywood. Emily, 29, and Ruth, 30, are both hotly tipped to play superhero Ms. Marvel in Avengers 2, the sequel to Avengers Assemble.”
At the moment we do not know if this is true or not, so we have to take it very cautiously. However, if true, this interest in Emily Blunt, will be the third time that Marvel tries anything with her, having been sought after for Black Widow in the Iron Man sequel and Peggy Carter for Captain America: The First Avenger. Looks like someone at Marvel loves Emily Blunt.
