Rumor: New Plot Info For JURASSIC WORLD Reveals New Dino Details

by

It’s been nearly 15 years since we’ve seen the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park take over our movie screens, but some form a movie has been rumored and discussed every since then. Finally, Universal is putting another film into production, with Colin Trevorrow at the helm. Slowly but surely, details surrounding the film are being revealed, but we still don’t know a lot. One thing we do know is that the film will be set about 20 years after the events of Jurassic Park, and the park itself is now a functioning attraction, just like John Hammond originally envisioned. That’s really about it. There have been many rumors surrounding the film, but nothing has been confirmed. Today, however, some more information has surfaced that may reveal a pretty hefty story line direction. Check it out below.

Before I go on, I have to issue the usual SPOILER WARNING. While this information is not confirmed at this point, it is entirely possible that it is accurate. I would still like to advise that you keep a nice salt shaker at the ready just in case. Stop reading now if you aren’t wanting the possible story to be revealed to you.

OK, so according to JoBlo, who reportedly has a source close to the production of Jurassic World and they have revealed some interesting details revolving around the dinosaurs in the film. First off, the source has expanded on the setting and status of the park. As I mentioned earlier, Jurassic World would be a fully functioning park, with shops, restaurants, rides and shows; even a dino-petting zoo. The higher ups, however, are always finding new ways to keep people coming to the park and one of those ways is to create new dinosaurs. For instance, the one specifically mentioned by the source, is a dinosaur that was created by splicing the genes of a T-Rex, raptor, snake and…wait for it…a cuttlefish. This would combine the power of the T-Rex, the intelligence of the raptor, the mouth of a snake and the camouflaging ability of the cuttlefish.

The good team are dinosaurs that are trained by Chris Pratt’s character, among those being the T-Rex and raptors. There will be many others of course. The bad dino, of course, would be the man-made monstrosity that dinosaur expert teased last year would force you to “keep the lights on after you see this movie.” There is no word on whether this will be the only bad dinosaur or not as the source didn’t know the answer to that.

I know this kind of sounds a bit hokey, but when you look at this compared to the original idea that was floating around for a fourth Jurassic Park film, this is leaps and bounds better. The idea of a human-raptor hybrid is beyond silly. The above idea, should it be true, has some potentially to provide some pretty stunning visuals and action sequences.

Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Omar Sy, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Irrfan Khan, BD Wong, Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson. Colin Trevorrow is directing, The film is slated for a June 2015 release date.
