Rumor: A Major Character Will Be Killed Off In The Fifth Season Of THE WALKING DEAD

AMC-Walking-Dead-BannerThe Walking Dead is currently in production on its fifth season. A lot has been made of the ending of season four and how the survivors will react in season five since Rick is fired up and ready for battle. However, with all the excitement of season five people tend to forget that The Walking Dead like to throw some heavy punched when it comes to character deaths.

A new rumor has popped up that suggests one of our major characters will be meeting their maker this season. There are a multitude of them to choose from such as Abraham, Eugene, and Rosita who just joined the show. To Rick and or one of his fellow survivors we have been with since season one. Obviously this contains possible SPOILERS for season five so read the next paragraph with caution.

TWDCastAccording to The Spoiling Dead, Glenn will be killed off during season five at some point. Here is what they have heard, RUMOR: we have heard from multiple sources about a possible death. Word is the death of Glenn was filmed yesterday (the post is from May 28). It’s possible it could be someone else, but multiple sources stated Glenn. Reports are the set was locked down and everyone was told the cast would not be coming out.”

GlennThumbAdding some fuel to the fire newly anointed season regular Alanna Masterson, who plays Tara on the show, tweeted “When something good is gone.” Maybe a mere coincidence, but the tweet was sent at 1:28 PM On May 27th. The Spoiling Dead is also saying that actor Steven Yeun, who plays Glenn was seen shaking hands and hugging crew members as he left set around 2 PM on the 27th which seems to indicate he wont be seeing them for sometime.

As of right now we can count this as a rumor. The Spoiling Dead themselves said that even though they have heard from multiple people that it’s happeneing, we should keep it classified as a rumor. In the comics Glenn dies, but it’s at the hands of Negan who hasn’t been introduced in the show yet. Robert Kirkman also has said that it will be a while before Negan is introduced. So let your imagination run wild as to how Glenn might bite the dust, and as always check back here at Comic Book Therapy for the latest on The Walking Dead.
