Rumor Killer: Megan Fox NOT Returning for Transformers 4
There has been a rumor floating around this past weekend that implied Megan Fox had been approached my Transformers director Michael Bay to take part in the fourth film in the franchise, which recently started early production. If you’ll remember, Fox and Bay had a small falling out after filming Transformers: Revenge of Fallen, but it seems the two have put the past behind them, as Fox is currently filming the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot in which she plays April O’Neil; Bay is producing that film.
Sadly, at least for those folks who enjoyed seeing Fox placed in random provocative positions involving a vehicle while a Green Day or Linkin Park song played in the background, these rumors are false. Back in April, while Michael Bay was put promoting his most recent film, Pain & Gain, which stars Transformers 4 lead, Mark Wahlberg, E! asked if Fox would be joining the cast, to which Bay quickly answered “No.”
Bay has been very adamant about letting people know this is a new trilogy and that the original cast from the first films won’t be involved. The fourth film is set exactly four years after the events of Dark of the Moon and the mayhem in Chicago. The story will follow Wahlberg and his daughter, played by Bates Motel’s Nicola Peltz, along with her race car driving boyfriend played by Jack Reynor. Kelsey Grammer has signed on to play the human villain, with Stanley Tucci playing a yet-to-be-named role. The film is set to begin shooting later this summer, with a release next June.
