RUMOR: Billy Dee Williams Lending His Silky Smooth Voice To STAR WARS REBELS
Billy Dee Williams is still avoiding the question of whether or not he will take a trip to a galaxy far, far away for Star Wars VII, but the actor may be doing some voice work on the upcoming Star Wars Rebels. Jedi News (via Bleeding Cool) point to a Tweet from someone who heard the news secondhand from Williams recent appearance at the Rhode Island Comic Con:
Billy Dee Williams let slip that he's doing voice work for #StarWarsRebels at Rhode Island Comic Con? And my cousin in RI didn't tell me!?

The CGI animated series from Disney XD will bridge the gap between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, so it makes sense some familiar faces may pop up in the first season. The show will follow a band of rebels, an entirely new cast of characters, 14 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith. They will be trying to prevent the continued rise of the Galactic Empire. There is the very slim possibility that Williams could be voicing a different character if he really is involved, but come on, you wouldn’t want to get Billy Dee Williams involved with a Star Wars cartoon if he couldn’t be Lando. Star Wars Rebels will premiere sometime in the fall of 2014. Do you hope Billy Dee is involved with an episode or two?
