Round Two Of Steve Rogers Vs. The Winter Soldier Takes Place In Today’s Captain America Set Pics

captain america winter soldier bannerYesterday we saw the Winter Soldier bring a knife to a super soldier fight, and today the second round of Steve Rogers vs. the subtitular villain took place as filming continued in Cleveland. Rain ground production to a halt for most of yesterday and the Winter Soldier/Steve Rogers knife fight was the only big scene filmed. Today’s weather didn’t accommodate the crew either, but the scene below was able to be shot late this afternoon. Cleveland.Com was again on the scene to snap some impressive pictures of the battle. Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, and their stuntdoubles got in on the high flying action as Cap traded blows with the film’s big bad. In between takes you can see the stunt doubles getting some pointers by the directing duo that is the Russo brothers. Now you may notice that the Winter Soldier isn’t wearing his goggles and full face mask, so it is entirely possible that Steve is starting to piece together the true identity of his sparring partner. Regardless of what’s happening story wise, the fight seems to be following the concept art we’ve seen pretty closely. What do you think about round two of what is sure to play out as an epic battle on screen?

“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will pick-up where “Marvel’s The Avengers” left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.
Directing the film is the team of Anthony and Joe Russo (“Welcome to Collinwood”) from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus (“Captain America: The First Avenger”) & Stephen McFeely (“Captain America: The First Avenger”). Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” returns Chris Evans (“Captain America: The First Avenger,” “Marvel’s The Avengers”) as the iconic Super Hero character Steve Rogers/Captain America, along with Scarlett Johansson (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” “Iron Man 2”) as Black Widow and Samuel L. Jackson (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” “Iron Man 2”) as Nick Fury. In addition, film icon Robert Redford has joined the all-star cast as Agent Alexander Pierce, a senior leader within the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014.
