The Rock Drops Another Hint That He Might Be Playing GREEN LANTERN

by

JohnstewartDwayne “The Rock” Johnson is always one up for a movie. Last year he was Hollywood’s highest grossing actor, and while there is no denying that he has tons of talent, being in seven films in 2013 didn’t hurt his numbers either.

Always the showman, Johnson likes to interact with his fans in fun ways. One of these fun ways is doing Twitter chats, which he colorfully calls, Rock Talk. During a couple of these chats he has dropped some serious hints that Warner Brothers might be looking at him to be their next Green Lantern. One such hint was him responding, “Funny you should mention that,” to the question if he would be interested in playing John Stewart (the third Green Lantern). He also sent a tweet that he was meeting with Warner Brothers CEO Kevin Tsujihara, with the comment, “We just had a big meeting w/ Warner Bros CEO re: @DCComics 2014 we will partner up and create the cool bad assery.”

No we get another hint from the always cryptic Rock. On Instagram he posted a photo of him and Producer Hiram Garcia. While this doesn’t seem like much, there some very nice words that accompanied the photo, it’s the hashtag that has caught fans attention. After delivering his sentiments to his friend, Johnson hashtagged the phrase, “John Stewart Can Still Whup Superman’s Ass.”

Now what does this mean? Possibly nothing. However, there have been quite a few indications that The Rock will be putting on the ever powerful ring from Oa. With all the hints Johnson has been dropping, plus rumors from some other sites, I believe it may only be a short time until we hear that we hear The Rock will be our new Green Lantern, or maybe it’s all just a big show. Until then, make sure to check back here at Comic Book Therapy for the latest.
