Riddler And Two Others Promoted To Series Regulars On GOTHAM
We’ve gotten our first trailer and cast photo for Fox‘s Gotham series, but now news has broke about three actors getting promoted to series regulars in the wake of the official series pickup announcement. The Hollywood Reporter is…well, reporting tonight that Cory Michael Smith, Victoria Cartagena, and Andrew Stewart Jones have all been promoted before the series makes its debut.
Cory Michael Smith was a safe bet for a promotion considering he’s playing forensic scientist, Edward Nygma. Smith‘s character of course goes on to become Batman‘s smartest foe, The Riddler. The character has seen a big surge in popularity again over the last several months thanks to the Gotham news and the current Zero Year storyline running in Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo‘s Batman comic. Cartagena (Elementary) plays Detective Renee Montoya, a big part of the major crimes unit at Gotham P..D. The final cast member, Jones, plays Detective Crispus Allen.
They join other major players David Mazouz (our young Bruce Wayne), Robin Lord Taylor (Oswald Cobblepot), Camren Bicondova as our young Selina Kyle, Donal Logue (Detective Harvey Bullock), Jada Pinkett Smith (Fish Mooney), and Ben McKenzie as our Jim Gordon. Gotham will air this fall and you can check out the extended trailer below in case you missed it or just want to see it again. What do you think about the series regulars news?
