This is a fun book for children and the kid in all of this. The focus of these books is on the DC super community’s pets, though in the case of Green Lantern B’dg superhero pals. Super Hero splash Down is a prose novel with wonderful illustrations by artist Art Baltazar. Taking a break form his superhero duties at a local water park B’dg is shocked to see Red Lantern kitty Dex-Starr hanging by the pool. Misunderstanding Dex’s intent the two are soon in a fierce battle through out the park and soon into space! There they run into the Yellow Lantern dog pack and the two are forced to work together.

This is a wonderful book for a young independent reader as well as a red a long with a parent. A great bridge to get comic readers into prose books and maybe interest young readers in comics. Lots of fun!
