Ray Fisher Cast As CYBORG In BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN
The cast of Zack Snyder‘s alleged sequel to Man of Steel has grown by another member today as it is being reported that theater actor Ray Fisher has landed the role of Cyborg in the still untitled Batman vs. Superman movie. Variety had the scoop and the details on just how big of a role Fisher will have.
According to the site, the role of Victor “Vic” Stone, better known as Cyborg, won’t be a major player this go around. They do state however that the hero “will become a much more significant role as Warner and D.C. develop more films related to the Justice League universe, sources confirm.” The production had been testing several actors over the last few weeks, and Fisher had been rumored for an unspecified role as early as a few months ago. It seems everything went well and he landed the highly-coveted role.
Cyborg has taken on a much larger role since the New 52 relaunch, going from a Teen Titan to one of the earliest members of the Justice League. While his role has changed, his origins haven’t. We’ll just have to wait and see if S.T.A.R. Labs plays a role in the movie or if Vic Stone is just a football player. Remember, the first scene filmed for the movie was a college football game. Fisher joins Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, and Jeremy Irons in the movie hitting theaters May 6, 2016. What do you think about the news?
