New Plot Information For ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ Revealed; New Cast Members Announced
Fox Entertainment announced today new plot information for Matt Reeves‘ (Cloverfield, Let Me In) “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” which is his sequel to the 2011 “Rise of the Planet of the Apes.” Principle photography started today as well in New Orleans.
Here is Fox Entertainment‘s plot synopsis:
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
Also, out of this announcement, Toby Kebbell (Wrath of the Titan) and Enrique Muricano (Traffic) were both added to the (awesome) ever growing cast list.
“Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” will star Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo, and Judy Greer. Writing duties will be handled by Scott Z. Burns, Amanda Silver, Rick Jaffa, and Mark Bomback. And Lastly, director at helm will be Matt Reeves. “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” is set to hit theaters May 23, 2014.
