Peter Stormare Joins ARROW As Vertigo
As The CW continues it’s onslaught of awesomeness in regards to comic book adaptations, they look forward to the third season of the hit series Arrow. Earlier this week, it was announced that Devon Aoki had joined the cast as Oliver’s past mentor, Katana, who will be featured in flashbacks. The growth continues this afternoon as another familiar face has signed on to the series.
Peter Stormare, a face that many folks will recognize has joined Arrow as Werner Zytle, better known to many as Count Vertigo in the comics world. Now, fans of the series may know that Seth Gabel played a character named The Count. However, he’s been disposed of. Stormare will be introduced as the new maker of the drug “Vertigo” and will be the first villain that the Arrow will have to face and will go by the name Vertigo.
Stormare looks to be pulling bad guy double-duty, as he was recently revealed as the character known as Berlin on the hit series The Blacklist on NBC (an incredible series if you haven’t seen it). The third season of Arrow is slated for an October 8 premier on The CW. The guests at this year’s San Diego Comic Con will be able to get an advanced look at that premier as WBTV is bringing it and many of it’s series to the con for world premiers and such.
