Peter Capaldi Is Out And About Filming An Episode In His New DOCTOR WHO Duds
Yesterday we got our first official look at Peter Capaldi‘s costume as The Doctor, but today the incoming Time Lord has been out and about in the open filming some scenes with his companion Clara (Jenna Coleman). Capaldi looks rather dashing in his costume now that we see him moving around in The Doctor‘s new duds. In the press release with the officially released image yesterday, the actor said his costume has “woven the future from the cloth of the past. Simple, stark, and back to basics. No frills, no scarf, no messing, just 100 per cent Rebel Time Lord.” The dark blue Crombie coat with it’s Third Doctor-ish red lining, dark blue trousers, white shirt, and black Doc Martens fit in better with the present time than any other Doctor‘s outfit.
The Doctor and Clara are out and about for the first time after The Doctor has chosen his clothes after his Christmastime regeneration. Filming was going on in Cardiff, and you can see pictures from sites like The Daily Mail, Imgur, and Wales Online. In the set video of the scene, which you can watch below, you can tell Clara is coming to terms with The Doctor‘s new look. Capaldi‘s first episode will air later this year and is said to be a Victorian romp featuring the Clockwork Droids from the David Tennant story The Girl In The Fireplace. What do you think about The Doctor‘s new look now that you can see it in motion?
