Paolo Rivera Covers X-O Manowar #11

Paolo Rivera stepped away from being the artist for Daredevil earlier this year. It was also announced that the Eisner Award-winner would no longer be a Marvel exclusive artist. Since that time Rivera has been staying pretty busy putting his talents to covering several books. Valiant Comics was able to get Rivera to do a variant cover the the upcoming issue of X-O Manowar. This is one of the few covers Rivera has produced outside of Marvel. Rivera’s variant will be on the cover to the issue that kicks off the Planet Death storyline. The two prelude issues written by Robert Venditti kicks off in January and February, then #11 with the Rivera variant will kick off the 4 part story in March.

Besides the amazing Rivera cover, Comics Alliance previewed the first 6 interior pages inked by Cary Nord.

PLANET DEATH has arrived! X-O Manowar’s one-man invasion of the Vine’s alien homeworld starts here!

At long last, Aric of Dacia will take his revenge on the alien race that have pursued him at every turn. As his Visigoth forefathers sacked Rome, so too will Aric of Dacia bring a devastating assault to the doorstep of his oppressors. Taking the battle directly to the Vine planet of Loam, he will decimate their armies, he will level their cities — and he will not stop until the whole of their empire is reduced to ash. But when one man declares war on an entire world, what painful consequences will he reap for himself — and for the whole of human race?

Featuring the return of superstar penciler Cary Nord, PLANET DEATH is THE event that will define X-O Manowar’s place in the Valiant Universe. Don’t miss this juggernaut of a storyline when X-O Manowar descends on PLANET DEATH in March!
