Optimus Prime’s Grittier, More Pissy Look Revealed For TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION
Before Michael “Boom Boom” Bay could turn over the reigns on his beloved Transformers franchise to another director, he insisted on tackling one more installment, despite him saying several times that he was done. He wanted to start things anew and set them in a new direction before handing things over and aside from all the explosions we’ve seen, he seems to be doing that. One of the first things he told fans was that he’d be giving all the robots a new, updated look. We’ve seen a few leaked concept drawings, but today comes our first official look and it features none other that the main-man himself, Optimus Prime. As you can see from the pic below, Prime has a much more rough look, including a rather scathing scowl on his face. Could this mean that we see a different Prime in the upcoming fourth film? We also know that the vehicle forms for the two returning bots, Prime and Bumblebee, at least that’s all we know are returning.
Mark Wahlberg has taken the center stage in the reboot, Bates Motel’s Peltz, newcomer Jack Reynor, Stanley Tucci, TJ Miller and Kelsey Grammer have also joined the cast. It has been highly speculated, yet not confirmed, that the fan-favorite Dinobots will be making their debut this go-round as well. Also released today is a new pic of Bay having way too much fun filming a stunt scene. Check out both images below! The film is set to release June of next year, so it’s a safe bet that we can expect to see a trailer here soon. Stay tuned to ComicBookTherapy for all the latest on this and everything geek!
