Now Ian McKellen’s Magneto Gets His Own DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Character Portrait

Yesterday we got a character portrait of Michael Fassbender from X-Men: Days of Future Past as the past version of Magneto, and today we get another new picture of Magneto. The difference is that this this time it’s the Ian McKellen version of the master of magnetism. This image shows the same background as the past version, but Magneto is wearing his black leather costume instead of Fassbender‘s more comic book inspired maroon outfit. The X-Men social media pages have been releasing new images the last few days, so there’s no telling if this past then future trend will continue. You’ve seen the past, but what do you think about the future Magneto? Days of Future Past will hit theaters May 23rd.

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original “X-Men” film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from “X-Men: First Class,” in an epic battle that must change the past — to save our future.
